  Abstract. We introduce a sharp interface models for moving contact lines with surfactant. A continuous model with the boundary conditions is derived for the dynamics of two immiscible fluids with moving contact lines based on thermodynamic principles. FEM-based numerical method is developed to solve the resulting free boundary problem. We also discuss related models on elastic materials such as membrane.
