演講主題：Assessment of carotid artery stiffness via approximate entropy and ultrasound Imaging

摘要內容：
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) have been in the list of top ten causes of death in Taiwan and also the world according to the report from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. 　Since the main reason of CVD, atherosclerosis, is a chronic and　asymptomatic process, early detection/warning becomes important to help a patient aggressively remove all possible risk factors and stop the deterioration. In this talk we will discuss how to characterize such detection problem through the combination of nonlinear analysis methods and ultrasound imaging. Some experimental results can demonstrate its reproducibility and efficacy.
