  Basic methods for solving an ill-conditioned system of linear equations are talked. A simple system of equations with two unknowns is considered for the sake of simplicity. A small perturbation of the right hand side has a possibility to affect sensitively on the accuracy of the solution. Based on the singular value decomposition (SVD) and the Lagrange multiplier for a constrained minimization problem, both of the truncated SVD (TSVD) and the Tikhonov regularization (TR) are introduced as regularization methods, which can stabilize the solution.
