  In this talk, we will introduce the basic ideas of perturbation method. We go through several examples of regular perturbation and singular perturbation. The examples are roots finding, integrals and ODE's. If time allows, some multiscale problems and homogenization theory will be introduced. This talk is a survey talk for graduate students.
