In this talk, I will present a piece of work with professors Luis Caffarelli, and Alexis Vasseur, in which we proved the regularity of solutions to a type of linear parabolic evolution equation with a nonlinear integral operator. The kernel K(t,x,y) associated to the nonlinear integral operator in the above mentioned work will preserve some of the features of the standard kernel 1/|x-y|^{N+s} (with N to be a positive integer and 0<s<2) of the fractional Laplacian (-\triangle)^{s/2}, such as the local structure of 1/|x-y|^{N+s} (as the variables x and y are close to each other) and the far range decay of 1/|x-y|^{N+s} (as |x-y| becomes large). In this talk, we will focus on some of the details of the De Giorigi’s method which we developed and which eventually gives the regularity of solutions to the parabolic equation.相關檔案:_speech0305.doc
