  In this talk, we will introduce some background related ionic transport in membranes and derive the new model, Renormalized Poisson-Boltzmann (RPB) equations with the Robin boundary conditions. We will focus on the asymptotic behaviors for the solutions of the 1-dimensional RPB equations and compare the solutions with those of conventional Poisson-Boltzmann equations.
