Abstract.
On August 25, 2017, FORMOSAT-5 launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, USA. now (March 4, 2023) has been in operation for more than five years and has reached the expected mission goal.
FORMOSAT-5 is Taiwan's first independently-developed optical remote sensing satellite. It not only establishes the ability to independently develop the satellite bus and optical payload, but also but also shows mastery in the design and manufacture of core components.
The de-blurring and de-noising technology has been introduced into the FORMOSAT-5 image processing system, within 5 years, the team has been continuously improving processing system to achieve the most optimal image quality. In this presentation, different de-blurring and de-noising technology will be introduced. The team also working on improving the processing speed, and try AI methods to enhance image quality, etc. Currently, we are working on higher-resolution optical remote sensing satellite image processing, and also focus on radar image processing technology development.Download:Talk_1120307.pdf
