We discuss recent researches on the heat kernel estimates for non-local operators. The heat kernel is known as the transition density of Markov processes corresponding to the non-local operators in probability theory.
We consider the anisotropic Markov processes $Z:=(Z_1, \ldots, Z_d)$ where each coordinates $Z_i$ are independent $1$--dimensional Markov processes and their characteristic function satisfies the weakly scaling condition.
We obtain the heat kernel estimates of $Z$ on $\mathbb R^d$ and also certain open set $D\subset \mathbb R^d$.
