Abstract:
Anomaly detection is a hot topic in both remote sensing and medical imaging fields. In remote sensing, such problem can be applied to buried land mines, soldiers/parachutes with camouflage in the forest, or decoyed military objects. In medical imaging, doctors and researchers are always eager to find out new imaging techniques to achieve early detection of diseased or cancerous tissue, cerebral hemorrhage or infarction. In this talk we will discuss these issues in both fields that seems to be irrelevant and investigate the connections between them.
