On March 27, Prof. Mu-Tao Wang from Columbia University was invited by the Department of Applied Mathematics to share his recent research accomplishments with the faculty and students. The topic of his talk was “On conserved quantities in general relativity”. Prof. Mu-Tao Wang is one of the world’s leading experts on Differential Geometry and Partial Differential Equations. In recent years, his research has lead to major breakthroughs on the mean curvature flow and general relativity. Reference : Taiwanese Mathematical Society E-paper March edition.
